In Presenter View, you can see your notes as you present, while the audience sees only your slides.

If you want to view your notes while you're presenting but make sure your audience only sees what you've put on the slide itself, use presenter view. Here's how:

If you don't see the file in the list, select Browse OneDrive or Browse my computer. If your presentation is already open in PowerPoint for Windows or Mac, go to the file and select Present in Teams.

You can also count only the words in your PowerPoint presentation's notes pages, but its best to do so in Word. On the File tab, click Export > Create Handouts.

Under Settings, click the second box (which defaults to say Full Page Slides), then under Print Layout, click Notes Pages. Notes Pages prints one slide per page, with speaker notes below.
