The issue is we have an IIS server with a small C drive that is filling up... Maybe this is a stupid question... but it just seems like that is a rather large folder. I assume .NET needs ALL those ...
Won't even need to stop the service, as long as you don't plan on removing those updates, then there is no harm in deleting the SoftwareUpdates folder.
