Looking at suspension lifts is difficult enough, comparing front and rear shock types and leafs. Add in UCA options and my head is spinning. Can anyone give details on the pros/cons of the UCA choices out there for the Toyota Tacoma? Selecting a UCA is a large chunk of the cost of doing a suspension lift.
totally agree, but like i said above many drivers wouldn't know if they have a faulty alignment and MOST drivers don't know what they are missing. with my stock UCA's i could get about 2.7/3.3deg caster. with SPC UCA's i can run much higher and the truck has a dramatically improved drive. huge difference. but still, if someone's fine with it ...
1) My question is do I need new UCA’s from doing this? 2) Would I need anything else to do to the truck after the lift? 1) No, unless you change the offset of your rims, then you will have rubbing issues. 2) Alignment
There are two main types of UCA's by SPC for Tacomas; 25472/3 in Type A and type B. Type A are the older versions of the SPC where it is the tube-type/welded variant. Type B is the newer, stamped steel type, as seen here; SPC has 2 main types of bushings; their "lower tiered" Polybushings / SpecRide, and their "fancy" X-Axis bushing.
I currently only have a leveling kit on my 2020 Tacoma, I want to replace the UCA's but trying to see what's a better option for price, reliability, and longevity between Bilstein & Dirt King upper control arms based on experience? Trying to achieve a 3" lift using Fox 2.5 coil overs.
