1.4 tModLoader is only 64-bit (doesn't even support 32-bit at this time). 1.3 tModLoader is 32-bit on Windows (64-bit on Mac and Linux). An unofficial 64-bit Windows version is available.
There's only a 64-bit client for Mac, but that's mostly becuse Mac inexplicably stopped having 32-bit libraries Steam on windows doesn't have a 64-bit client, though this isnt actually an issue since the steam client itself has no real need for more than 4GB of RAM so the main benefit of being 64-bit is kinda moot.
There is absolutely ZERO reason for you to look for a 64bit version of Steam. To keep it short and simple, a 64bit device can PERFECTLY run any program, both 32bit and 64bit. Instead, a 32bit computer can only execute 32bit programs.
Any clues why the Steam website download link installs 32 bit version on my 64 bit Windows 10 OS? (Windows 10 running via. Bootcamp on i5 MacBook Air). Same is happening on i7 MacBook Air. I don’t think it’s related to this though. I have tried but can’t find a seperate Steam (64 bit) Standalone installer. Am thinking one installer does both 32 and 64 bit versions.
Does anyone know if SteamOS is 32 or 64 bit? I currently run Steam on linux and its still stuck in 32bit land. If SteamOS is 64bit I wonder if that would push the Steam client on linux to 64bit as well. Not sure if the Windows version is 64 bit or not.
Changing Steam itself to be 64-bit doesn't change anything, Steam still depends on 32-bit libraries for Steam Runtime, which is used to run 32-bit games flawlessly on Linux.
[Steam] How do you set default client startup to x64 (64 bit?) Is there currently an option/method with the Steam version to either *always* launch Grim Dawn as x64, pin a taskbar icon for x64, or have a desktop icon shortcut for x64 client? Currently, my icons are only able to launch GD in the old x86 client. If so, please share.
Is Steam still 32bit? I've ran into some rather old posts stating that Steam finally started migrating to 64bit on Windows and I've been wondering if the change ever happened. My OS runs 64bit exclusively save for the Steam, so I have huge overhead just for running Steam.
