For anyone curious, I ordered an Air 3S from DJI store last Friday, it shipped Saturday out of Malaysia, with stops in China, Japan and South Korea along the way before landing in Anchorage where it cleared customs less than an hour after the plane landed.
I don't know how they had these drones, but I just got the Air 3S from Ebay and a seller called "DJI Authorized Store". It showed in stock and shipping within 24 hours from Florida, so I took a chance and a week later I received my drone with NO hassles with Customs or anyone else. Ordered on 10/31, received it yesterday, 11/7.
It just dawned on me that the ban looks like it specifically lists importing of new drones into the United States. Does that mean brick and mortars and places like Amazon will be able to continue to sell existing stock after December 23rd assuming the band goes into effect, which it looks pretty...

FWIW, the Mini 4 Pro package I purchased from the DJI Store in September 2023 is still priced the same today. It seems the effects from the "tariffs of doom" aren't as bad as some echo chambers make them out to be. Many people make a living spreading misinformation. Unfortunately, it's just one of life's many disappointments.
Even if it were true, which it isn't, the Fly app is always still available from the Apple App Store, and can be installed on any recent iPhone and/or iPad. DJI's original flight app was originally based upon using either an iPad or an iPhone. It was only after they started making their own tablet devices, that DJI switched to optimizing their flight app to using Android, to avoid Apple ...
