Why can't I open the word and excel documents that I had on my computer bfore I down loaded the new office software ? I can't even see the files now. They were /are on my hard drive.

When I double click on "my documents" the file will not open and get locked up so that I have to use task manager to end the task because it shows 3 my documents one like a file and one like a print file not responding. WE can get in through excel or word but not through my documents or my pictures.
Due to some limitations with Android, your app can only save to the folder Documents (SD Card), which is stored in SD card>Android>Data in SD card . You can use the shortcut from the Save page in Office for Android apps to save to this folder.

Maybe, at some level of mental abstraction, the Excel development team thinks it can rationalize why it adopted an undo stack mash-up for all currently open spreadsheets - but this is immensely taxing and imposes mental gymnastics on mortal users - as if simultaneously managing multiple spreadsheets was not already cognitively demanding enough.
